Most PC games I've bough from Ubisoft in the last few years really were not optimized for PC in the slightest. Assassin's Creed and its menu system had to be the worst. I enjoyed Far Cry 2 a lot, but at some point I updated Windows and all my save games were erased or something (not really sure whose fault that was). It was a fun game, but not fun enough to start again at the beginning.

Didn't Yahtzee over on Zero Punctuation say that he'd rescind his props to Assassin's Creed if they were to roll out a 3rd game? I'd agree with that, they're killing the franchise. Taking a page from EA's playbook is rarely a good idea. Next thing we know, Ubisoft will also be killing whole genres of games (rhythm games for EA).

Poor Ezio's retirement age keeps getting pushed up :(

far cry 2 tho far from perfect, had some great ambiance and submersion. Sometimes I would play just to go there, not unnecessarily to do anything.

Far Cry 3 looks promising. I guess this is gonna be my next game.

After reading the comments section on all the Ubisoft releated articles, I'm half surprised MaximumPC would even bother mentioning release dates.

Eh, I'm getting both games, DRM be damned

I'll buy Used Ass Creed for Xbox so Ubi doesn't get my money...

Amen to that. I refuse to support Ubisoft with their blatant disregard for PC gamers. The amount of disrespect that Ubi shows their paying customers is appalling.

That the game will be primarily developed for the ancient consoles shows that Ubisoft not only disrespects me as a consumer with their downright evil DRM, but that they also disrespect my eyes with graphics that will necessarily suck.

Like Mass Effect 3. Gamers should invest in Visine as the strain of those awful console graphics is going to spike demand in eye drops. That demo was nigh unplayable on 360 (it was unplayable on PC because it wasn't a normal download or, dare I say it, on Steam. Origin can suck it.)

With the new character model and voice I'm not sure if it will be the same.

I'll buy Assassins Creed 3. I've played All the major Assassin Creed released. The story seems to be taking a rather, weird twist since the 2nd. I am hoping though, that It'll all add up in this game as it always leaves alot to the imagination.

I'll be buying it only cause I need closure. Also, I enjoy the gameplay its fun.

Won't buy a Ubisoft game. They can shove their DRM up their collective asses.

Might download it, though.

I won't download it or buy it. I'm done with Ubisoft until they change their DRM policies. Pirating it only helps them to justify the DRM.

I'm with you on this.

Ubisoft is dead to me no matter what format (PC or console) they release games in until they apologise to PC gamers for calling all their cash paying customers pirates and get rid of (and not think up some other stupid type) their recent iteration of DRM.

I enjoyed the Far Cry series from when it was first released but FC2 will be my last. I've even held off of Ubi games that come up on sale through Steam (granted there aren't many that I want but that's not the point)
