Thom Davis Has the Best Seizure Ever

A man needs a place of his own, and when Thom Davis found using the family computer for his gaming pursuits to be less than ideal, he set about building the Seizure, the ultimate form-follows-function gaming rig. His goal was to create a rig that was gaming friendly, had no exposed wires, and looked good in the living room. We think he succeeded on all three counts.
While building the Seizure, Thom discovered that connector manufacturers definitely tend to think “inside the box,” and typically don’t make cables suitable for such a large rig, but with the assistance of a local electronics supply store, he was able to create the 6-foot cables he needed to complete the job.
The two front LED panels were inspired by ROC, the computer featured in Airplane II.
These switches aren’t merely for show, each controls a different function, including monitors, audio, lighting, and the minifridge. A universal power supply guarantees mission-critical components will keep humming for 20 minutes after a power outage.
Thom and his wife spent many a night hot-gluing 1,500 LEDs to the front panels—nothing spells romance like a little candlelight, a bottle of wine, and a glue gun!

The only thing I have against it is the speaker placement of the rear two speakers, should be level with the others or at least lower and not out of field....but I guess it wouldn't hurt that bad.

...Maximum cable lengths, I have to say, exist for a reason...
He's running the chance of losing some performance if he has a hard drive at the end of a six-foot cable...and possibly running the risk of decreasing his operational life with the power supply, if he's doing the same thing there.
The only thing that it wouldn't hurt too much is the monitor cable.
The reason is that there is a maximum amount of data you can transmit...and your rate degrades with distance---so make the cable from your power supply to your motherboard too long, and you'll possibly loosen the power-correction mechanisms that keep your voltages in the appropriate range.
The problem wouldn't be too awlful with a hard disk, but I would never think of running a graphics card off of a cable...even if it would allow for some awesome cooling in this kind of a device.

By the looks of that she could get wife of the year. There's only a few other things I can think of that a wife could do for you that would be better than letting you and helping you build something like that, but I don't think you could post those on this site.
