Super Fans: 89 Technology Inspired Tattoos
It's easy to forget that not that long ago, tattoos were only seen on metal-heads, bikers, hoodlums, convicts and sailors. Sporting ink was an easily identifiable symbol of an outcast, a black sheep, a pariah of society... much like a computer nerd, sci-fi geek or early gamer, actually. Maybe that's why there's so much overlap now between the two groups: both identify themselves as slightly outside the norms of society, or have been seen by others as different from the rest.
However, given the current ubiquitous nature of tattoos - and the ever-increasing visibility of gamers, PC culture, sci-fi sitcoms and the like - it's probably no surprise that members of our own computer-loving community are choosing to demonstrate their fandom using more permanent methods. As the most-heavily tattooed member of the Maximum PC (and Maximum Tech) staff, I tasked myself with finding the best examples of the intersection between tattoo-enthusiasts and PC-lovers. Check out the best technology-related tattoos below, and feel free to share your thoughts (or your own tech tats) in the comments!

People who comment negatively on other people's tattoos are too often people who just dont like and dont have tattoos.
There is no way in the world that I would ever put the MS Windows logo on me, but for some, it may have been a life-changing thing. Then again, some people just make choices that seem stupid to others.
I did find some of these to be original and interersting, in spite of the fake tats :)
Let the flamage begin.

I happen to have 4 tats and know an ugly one when I see one. And all of these are not only bad tats, but extremely unimaginative.

I agree -- to each his own. Whether or not *I* like your tattoo is beside the point, isn't it?
You have to admit, though -- a lot of those tats were either done by bad tattoo artists, or tattoo artists who didn't care. Several of them were probably done with a pack of markers and a friend with shaky hands ;-)

Awful looking tats. It would take some sort of simpleton to put permenant free advertising for whatever company on their body.

Interesting, however some to me look like they are drawn rather than tattooed.
