Seven Must Have Bookmarks You Don't Already Own and a Pair of Old Favorites

When was the last time you updated your bookmarks? We're betting it's been awhile, and if you've been truly neglectful, you'll probably find several broken links as you scroll through your favorites. Like your underwear, it doesn't hurt to change things up every now and again, if for nothing else than to keep things interesting. Your personal hygiene may not be at stake, but your pride as a power user is.

With that in mind, we've scoured the web to bring you seven unique bookmarks that run the gamut from useful to wacky, along with a couple of old favorites that never go stale. Let's get started, but first, go change your skivvies if you haven't done so in a few days.

Mail Big Files

Few things are more frustrating than trying to email a large file to someone only to have it choke during transit. And we're not talking about gargantuan file sizes either; some ISPs set ridiculously low limits for sending attachments. How 1999! Not to worry, because even if your ISP refuses to step out of the Stone Age, you can still get around archaic limits with MailBigFile.com. Send files up to 100MB without needing to register, or for a $20/yr subscription, start sending attachments up to 2GB in size. Now that's more like it!

Is MaximumPC.com Down for You Too?

If you always get the answering machine when trying to call your ex-girlfriend, then it's a safe bet she's avoiding you. Stop calling and find a new flame. But when a website refuses to load, the answer isn't as simple. Should you assume it's down and move on, or does the problem lie on your end? You can load up your buddy list and ask your online pals to help you investigate, but there's a better way to investigate. Head over to DownForEveryoneOrJustMe.com, type in the offending the URL, and within seconds you'll know if the problem is with the site, or, as your ex-girlfriend claims, with you.

The Ultimate Gag Gift

Nothing gets your point across better than sending someone a steaming pile of dung. Unfortunately, lawmakers don't see it that way and trying to send a smelly gift through the mail is a surefire way to land you a hefty fine at best, or at worst, a bit of jail time. Instead, let someone else do it for you, and that someone is Poopsenders.com. No one knows for sure if what they send is the real thing, but it's guaranteed to smell like it. Choose between a quart or gallon of cow, elephant, or gorilla excrement, then sleep soundly knowing you've finally found a gift to send that someone who already has everything.

I use ClaimID.com to keep track of all the accounts I have on various sites. I also use a thingy called Feedmaker to make feeds out of sites.

The first few sites weren't interesting to me. I already know of and highly approve of w00t.com and bugmenot.com is a great idea. Two out of seven ain't bad.

Also, the link for bugmenot.com incorrectly points at w00t.  But by going to the web site directly, I can now share this shortcut with the rest of you.  Start here:  http://www.bugmenot.com/view/maximumpc.com
