I don't even think I get any audio coming from the ad myself. If that is indeed happening, please let me know.

what's up with the extremely loud origin advertisement that is always being played when I come to this web site? maybe you could get them to, TURN IT FREAKING DOWN!

When you say the ad is loud, do you mean to imply that it is too "in-your-face" or do you actually mean it's acoustically loud?...

it comes blasting out of my bose companion 5 speakers. I don't know why, but it about gives me a heart attack. it's the only add I've ever seen do that.

nothing against origin or anything, they have cool looking pc's. if I didn't just get a new alienware rig i'd definitely consider buying from them.

Never had that add come up for me, ever, and I visit this website way too many times per day. Also, you could just say "my speakers", the fact that they are Bose (and the model) is of no relevance...

avatar

kerndaddy

or maybe it is BECAUSE of these particular speakers, which would than make it very relevant. but seeing how you NEVER see the add, your POST is of no relevance.

Hmmm, I can't say I've ever experienced that issue myself. Are you talking about the ad that you have to "click to continue?" Or is this some banner/background ad?

avatar

kerndaddy

yeah it's a, click to continue to the site add that often plays. it has the red spinning O and then it expands to show origin. i'm sure it is probably my own fault. I tend to come here after some hard core gaming, so my speakers are usually set at entirely too high of a volume. I just need to remember to turn them down before I come here, no biggie. forget I even mentioned it.

oh yeah there is definitely audio. just a loud noise when the O is spinning but that is all. that is odd that you're not hearing it.

Get a SSD upgrade for their computer. They probably won't need a big one and the speed boost might be quite welcome. :)

I Love My mom!! But she is Technologically Impaired. I'll have to go "Old School" & just get her Roses & take her out to Dinner.

Same here. I'm thinking about recalling all the tech I've gotten my folks over the years (speakers, Nooks, hard drives) and swapping them for dinner or a family picture.
