Trust me, the ArtiClean works 10x better than IPA, used IPA many times, would never go back after using the ArtiClean, it just works that much better.

ArctiClean actually isn't IPA. It doesn't even contain IPA.

Thank you, I hate when clueless morons spout off about things they don't know anything about. Arctic Clean is amazing, I use it myself and like you said, I love the stuff.

Yeah it's closer to something like goo gone. I've used IPA and ArctiClean and the ArctiClean has helped lower my temp about another degree with everything else identical. There was also a visible clarity to the metal after using ArctiClean

Interestingly enough, my partner and I conducted a scientific research project regarding the effect of various thermal compounds on a CPU. We only got to test 5 compounds, but it as a very lengthy process (for accuracy), and we would have loved to test more. The 5 that were tested were done in an extremely detailed and intricate process. We reported similar results in terms of the Arctic Alumina and Lumiere performing not so well, while AS5 and Scythe Thermal Elixer(not on this test) performed well.
Test bed was a mix and match of old system parts, and the processor chosen was an old P3. Reason for this is because newer processors have multiple cores, in which the thermal diode could be located unevenly towards a specific core, slightly altering temperature readings.

Anyways, it was a very interesting experiment, and led us to writing an 18 page report on our findings. An employee from Arctic Silver was nice enough to guide us on some aspects of our procedure, so some very minute details were taken care of as effectively as possible.

I'd be interested in reading this! FWIW, I used the internal temperatures as recorded by the on-core sensors and averaged them, rather than taking the temperature from a diode on the heat spreader.
