Dyson is under Steam's "coming soon" tab. If it's free, I sure hope this would be the start of Steam finally embracing totally freebie indie/casual games(which arent mods/trials) that could be downloaded through them. Talking about free, I can't wait for Americas Army 3 and Parabellum on Steam!

btw. Has anyone bought PC Gamers Big Book of Free? its awesome! I need a walkthrough for Schattenjagd before I delete the darn game out of frustration lolz (Google didn't help, even tried Bing that had even fewer results).

Osmos seems like it is only in demo form... Am I downloading the wrong thing?

avatar

TheMurph

Nope.  It's in Alpha form, currently.  But still, it's neat enough to warrant mention.  : )

Thanks for the list, the one that caught my eye was Zombpocalypse. I've been playing zombie shooters since way before they were mainstream and "cool". As for you pissants comparing freeware to crysis and L4D, STFU and QQ somewhere else. Crysis is a load of eye candy shit with crap gameplay, and L4D is well... L4D.

Thanks, mojosico.  I'll definitely check out the titles you mentioned!  Maybe we'll call next week's roundup, "From the Mouth of Mojosico."

I will keep it real like nobody has kept it real ever before.  Really.  :D

And what list of games would be complete without the obligatory zombie game?  I wonder what the next bandwagon will be.  Maybe pirate games.

See, all the "bandwagon" comments like this that have spawned since L4D came out really cheapen how popular the genre already was. How many people went so far as to make zombie mods for CS:S when that was all we had for zombie killing. Hell, before that, people were playing zombie servers with just a ton of bots using nothing but knives. Maybe the zombie thing is popular for the same reason WWII games are popular: zombies make just as good of bad guys as Nazis.

In any case, Murph, not my favorite list of freeware games, but there looked to be enough to keep me entertained for a little while. Thanks!

Two words to all the bandwagon moaners vis a ve L4D

"Resident Evil"

I wouldn't include 'em if people weren't so damned crazy over anything involving undead killing.  Give the people what freeware they want, that's what I say.

Sorry the list is not up to your crysis standards, next time the rest of the world will be more careful when considering things.
