Cool Site of the Week: The Wirecutter
Against all odds, you’ve got some extra cash on hand that you’re able to use to invest in a gadget, computer, or other snazzy new piece of hardware. Unfortunately, thanks to the unscrupulous technobabble employed by marketers, similar feature sets, and the constantly shifting topography of the technological landscape, shopping for the piece of hardware that’s best suited to your needs can be a nightmare. Fortunately, The Wirecutter is here to wake you up, stroke your hair and whisper that everything’s gonna be OK.
The Wirecutter is a site designed with one mission in mind: Helping you to choose a gadget or device that suits your needs to a tee, no matter what your price range or needs may be. Covering a wide variety of hardware categories such as cameras, laptops, tablets, stereo receivers, TVs, and smartphones, the site provides consumers with metrics they can actually use. You’ll find little talk of benchmarking here, but plenty of input on build quality, features, and cost versus value: all important factors to consider, no matter what kind of budget you’re rocking.

What’s more, should The Wirecutter not cover a device or hardware peripheral you’re in the market for, a number of tech pundit notables such as Brian Lam, Brian X. Chen, and Kyle VanHemert, are standing by ready to do their best to provide you with the answers you need to make your next purchase a smart one. Constantly updated, even handed, and easy to understand, The Wirecutter will keep tech aficionados coming back for more.

So basically, if a review doesn't bend to what YOUR preconceived notions are - that YOUR precious Android phones or PC killer/monster machines are best, and gives kudos to Apple's incredible designs and innovations, then it sucks. Have I got that pretty much correct ?
Give me a break. And Maximum PC - in the pockets of APPLE ??? You gotta be KIDDING me. MaxPC is the most anti-Apple main-stream tech site there is almost. This writer happens to recommend a helpful site that happens to point out the obvious, and you little 15 year olds cry all the way home to your mommies about how the site's being a big, mean bully, and not saying your precious Androids are the best.
What a bunch of spoiled little brats. Grow up.

You should take a look at what you're saying. Because it has the very same issues you're trying to complain about. Troll.

I have to laugh at this site. To give you an idea of what some think of this site, Adblock Plus basically blocks the entire site. There is some writing but not much. So allot of people think this site is an advertisement for Apple (being the big one) and other wares. At least, as of my writing this.

I took at their laptops section and walked away. Best "Power Laptop" is the 17" MacBook Pro? "The Perfect Laptop" is a MacBook Air?
The website seems to be run by a few individuals who don't seem to understand the conception of opinion or choices. They just go "this is the best, deal with it."

That site mostly just seems tho choose whatever product is the most expensive.
"Best Gaming Laptop: Alienware M17x"
Really? No mention of the Asus G74 or the MSI GT780R? Alienware is horribly overpriced for what you get. The site should be more focused on products that are a great value, instead of what's fashionable at the moment.

I looked at the tablet section
http://thewirecutter.com/leaderboard/tablets/
They have zero credibility when you see lines like this about the iPad "No company has yet produced a worthy rival."
Talk about living with blinders on!

Hmmm, very Apple-centric site. As soon as I read "Best Droid Phone (but I don't reccomend it)" then reccomends the Iphone should be your first choice... I'm outta there. That's like saying Best Republican candidate but you should vote for Obama again. Give me a break.

Upon reading the article I thought "oh what a cool idea". Then I looked at the site and saw these results on the front page:
Best laptop ever created: Macbook air 13inch
Best power laptop: Macbook Pro 15inch
Best smartphone: iphone 4S
Now I'm not biased against apple at all, but really, best laptop ever created is the Macbook Air? Best cell phone is iphone 4s? No. No no no no no no. I don't even know where to begin...
For my frustration levels sake I'll not ever go back to that site again

I've been to that site three times this week, and each time it's looked different - and none of those three times has it looked like the screenshot above. It's making me feel slightly schizophrenic.
