Becoming a member of a site or online service that you love is great. Having to submit your email address to a site or online service in order to become a member? Well, that sucks. If you surf the interwebz as often as we do, there’s little doubt that your inbox has seen its share of registration emails and the subsequent spam and mailing list junk that typically follow them. To solve this problem, many of us turn to alternate email addresses, or set up complex email filtering systems Yep, that stuff works, but honestly, who wants to deal with that level of effort for the sake of signing up for a website. Fortunately, Ten Minute Mail has heard our geeky cries of protest, and for answering our whiny call, we’ve made them our Cool Site of the Week.
With Ten Minute Mail, there’s no need to decide on a name for your email account. There’s no request for personal information, or a lengthy registration process. Just navigate Ten Minute Mail, and you’ll find a pre-made throw away email address waiting for you. The address, as the site’s name implies, will last for ten minutes before becoming inactive.
That’s more than enough time to register for a website or online service. Should you need another temporary email address, just refresh the site, and make it happen. Now that’s a one trick pony anyone would want to ride.

Not good for all things, but great if you just want to quickly access a site once. I can think of a few times over the years where this would be useful.

It's easy for me, I have a spam dedecated (Yahoo) mail address and 3 other for different things.

So there are other ways of dealing with the spam mail you get. I like this idea, use it and forget it. No spam, no need to set up a spam filter each time register. Seems like a good idea to me. On the site, you can request 10 more minuters, so whats the problem?

I disagree with this trend of disposable email addresses. I'd rather keep one junk gmail account around such that if I need to reset a password, I can do so. Easy to find the odd email you need with gmail's search feature. Most of the spam that account receives goes straight to the Junk folder anyway.

Whenever i input my email into a registration site, sometimes it takes up to 40 minutes for the email to get to me on gmail...
