Android Tablet App of the Week - NFL 2011
We’re a couple of weeks into an NFL season that almost didn't happen, and between the offseason trades and injuries, it’s been difficult to keep up with all of the NFL action. Fortunately, this is a task perfectly suited to an Android tablet. Though many of you are probably making heavy use of some of the sports-related websites out there, we want to introduce you to an app that could be of great use to casual fans and fantasy fanatics alike.

NFL 2011 is the official Android Tablet app of the NFL, and as such offers features and capabilities you won’t find in other apps. The main view shows a list of games for the currently selected week or team. After selecting an in-progress game, you have access to drive charts, player and team statistics, game highlights, and a scoring summary. Games that have not yet begun feature graphical comparisons of team statistics and a preview of the game. Subscribers to NFL Audio Pass will also have access to live game audio without leaving the app.

NFL ’11 for Android Tablets is available as a free download from the Android Marketplace. Some features, such as Audio Pass are subscription-based. Audio Pass costs $22.49 for the whole regular season (plus the postseason for $9.99), or $9.99 a month.

Pretty good for a free app. The audio is a bit pricey but that would be pretty great to have as long as you could listen to the game of your choice.
