Bluetooth speakers can be pretty iffy, but every review I've read of it says the Jawbone kicks ass. It'd be nice to have this wireless speaker handy so I can blast my tunes anywhere I happen to be. Plus, it doubles as a speakerphone thingy.

It’s a good thing this is called a wish-list, ‘cause unless I win the lottery, there’s literally no way I’ll have the time to play this in the next decade. But man, it looks great, and features more recorded dialogue than any RPG in existence, ever. That’s impressive.

We’ve been seeing these at trade shows for the past few years, so this holiday season, I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this technology will be implemented on phones and other peripheral devices. It just looks so damn cool.

I bought a set of BuckyBalls a while back on a whim, and I was blown away by how much fun they are. They’re little magnetic spheres that you can mold into all sorts of geometric shapes. Just building single-set shapes isn’t enough anymore though—another set or two is on my wishlist.

Alright, so this one’s not going to be available for the Holidays, but I wouldn’t mind a preorder slip wrapped up beneath the tree. I never got the original PSP, but ever since I saw the Vita in person at last year’s E3, I knew I had to have one. This thing is a serious piece of portable gaming hardware.

Dan - Samsung Galaxy Nexus
My phone is old. I won't get into exactly how old, but let's just say it's not the phone an editor of a tech magazine should be carrying around. So, since a phone upgrade is essential, I might as well go with the latest Google flagship phone. The Samsung Nexus Galaxy is lean and mean, has a huge screen, and I love Ice Cream Sandwiches. Oh, yeah, the OS, too.

Dan - PlayStation Vita
The writing may be on the wall for dedicated handheld gaming devices, but Nintendo and Sony are doing their damndest to erase the hell out of it. Yes, the Vita is a needless luxury. Yes, the price of the memory sticks is ridiculous. Yes, the Vita doesn't launch in the US till February (hence why I'd need a Japanese one in time for Christmas). But I'll still take a Vita over an iPad any day—especially if someone else is paying for it.

Gordon - Canon EOS 1D Mark X
Like my PCs and food, I like my cameras fast and Canon’s new EOS 1D X would be the most epic Christmas present—sorry— evar. The Mark X's high ISO shooting and 14fps 1080p video puts Canon in a good spot to continue the eternal Canon vs. Nikon war that’s like that the Star Trek Episode: The Alternative Factor. You know, the one where Lazarus is doomed to fight himself forever. OK, yeah, nevermind.

Gordon-Intel Core i7-3930K
I have to admit, my main home PC is approaching an upgrade inflection. My choice would be Intel’s new Core i7-3930K. It’s about half the price of the Core i7-3960X but you don’t give up too much. The good news is that I’d still get access to 8 DIMM slots (32GB is the sweet spot for that) and the six-cores and native Intel SATA 6Gbs would be a welcome upgrade from my elderly LGA1366 box.

Gordon-Radeon HD 7970s in CrossFire
I play BF3 and I could even more frames per second. Radeon HD 7970 in Crossfire X looks to be the card to give me an competitive edge so I can scream at my “team” mates while watching all safely snipe from 1,000 meters while the enemy overruns our flags. Even better, the Radeon HD 7970 ability to use minimal power when idling and even switch off the second card will lower my guilt over my PC’s power consumption.

My nerd eyes are failing me thus, I could actually use an actual Trijicon ACOG TA31 these days. And I don’t mean an unlock for Battlefield 3 either – an ACOG or a magnifier for my red dot system is high on my list this Christmas.

Here we have the first handset with Android 4 Ice Cream Sandwich installed. Nuff said? Nah. The dual-core 1.2GHz CPU, 4.65-inch Super AMOLED (1,280x720) screen and NFC chip will also make ye merry, gentlemen. Yeah, the Galaxy Nexus is a pretty hot stocking stuffer right now. Unfortunately, by the Ides of March some quad-core ultraphone will come along and make it seem like a cold lump of coal.

I have the Z-Wave infrastructure in place, including lighting controls from GE and Leviton; entry locks from Schlage, Kwikset, and Yale; and a programmable thermostat. All I need now is a 2Gig Go! control panel and a subscription to Vivint’s service to pull it all together.
