A lot of half-truths here.  You can leave electronics in your car overnight - they won't spontaneously combust.. how do you think the LCD screen in your car's GPS makes it through the winter?  Your HD won't "freeze" either.. if there's moisture inside your HD for this to happen, you have other things to worry about.  The lubricants used in HDs aren't meant to operate in extreme temperatures, so all you have to do is take your laptop inside (or just.. start the car up) before using it.  Wrapping powered-down electronics in blankets won't make any difference either...

Taking your cell phone out to answer a call in the cold isn't going to hurt your phone, unless you're clumsy and drop it because you're wearing mittens.

Batteries really don't like holding a charge in cold weather, at least they got that right.

This is probably true IF your phone is a brick (or perhaps a slider), but you definitely DO NOT want to use a flip phone in sub-zero temperatures.  I had 2 Motorola Razr's and both ceased to function because the ribbon cable that connects the top and bottom halfs got cold and became brittle, causing them to snap when opening and closing the phones.  The result? Two Motorola paperweights.

Some of these seem a little over the top/ridiculous... I can personally tell you it is important to watch out for leaving them out in the cold, like the car. I have had my phone out in below 0 and it has never shown a sign of damage for a short call. You have to take into account for having it against your warm skin, with that said it is a good idea for the mic so you don't have to take gloves and hat off to make a call.

Never was a big fan of TechnoBuffalo, after watching several videos with major flaws in testing and details I stopped following them. We all make mistakes, but when they are that clear you obviously didn't do your research. Still make some stuff worth reading from time to time.

And this is why I love living in Florida.  It hits freezing maybe twice a year, for a day or two at a time.  The rest of winter is lovely, in the 50's-70's.

Of course the summer sucks, but I won't get into that...
