30 Photos from E3 2011: Day One
Our first day wandering the floor at this year’s E3 was both exciting and dismaying. Exciting, because all of the game companies really brought their A-game when it came to their booths and presentations, and dismaying because it was one of the most console-centric shows yet. There are still some major PC Gaming stories out there (Skyrim, Battlefield 3, anyone?) and we’re out at the show tracking down more information for you today. For now, enjoy these first 30 images of the spectacle that is E3.

The more I look at the Switchblade, Razer’s concept for a customizable gaming portable The more I like it.

Favorite squared! I wish I could have been there. Maybe next time I'll be able be geek-strong and make the trip. Yes, getting away from work would also be a favorite! Thanks for the coverage.

The Razer stuff is interesting, it may develop into something cool.
LOTR game, meh. Rift, interesting.
Skyrim is all I give a sht about. It's what Oblivion should have been. Like this:
XP (+), Vista (-), 7 (+)
Morrowind (+), Oblivion (-), Skyrim (+)
I can hardly wait. 11/11/11! :O)
Morrowind is the most awesome single-player RPG ever. Until Skyrim.
(Oblivion went the wrong direction, in many areas. Outdoor distances were horribly too short. You could see one major city, and another, in the same view. Terrible. Crafting, ruined. Interface, nerfed. Etc.)
It'll be awesome. I'll disappear into that for awhile for sure!
Oh, and the dome display, the giant wrap-around projection display, and the three-monitor setup at the AMD booth with the force feedback racing chair, were also cool. And it's neat to see the big participation, with the big booths and displays.
11/11/11 :O)

I'd bet you think the PC in MaximumPC means Personal Computer. I've said too much already! :O)
