The 30 Best Tech Commercials of All Time

In 2008, Microsoft smacked us up the side of our collective domes with a TV commercial campaign featuring comedian Jerry Seinfeld and Redmond commander-in-chief Bill Gates. The banter, we'd heard, would be off the proverbial hook. It was off the hook, alright. As in lying on the floor, dead. Ultimately, the Seinfeld-Gates combo was a bomb for the ages – uncomfortable, pointless, and simply unfunny.
But unlike tech product placement (which is pretty universally terrible), there are some real gems when it comes to TV commercials for tech products.
We humbly suggest the following 30 commercials as the niftiest tech ads to ever hit the small screen. Ground-breaking, dazzling, uproariously funny, and sometimes simply remarkable for their uniqueness, they are, at the very least, a blast to watch. Enjoy.

The link is the RED line under title below picture. It will take you to YouTube to watch the video of that commercial. After you view that video you will find other (related) videos of same genre. Click on Blue 'Back Arrow' (top left) to return to this page/list.
You can right click RED link and do 'Copy Shortcut' and paste it to a notepad list so you can watch videos later. You right click and 'copy' shortcut link you saved in notepad and paste it into YouTube SEARCH window.

I enjoyed this one. Many I remember, some I missed and others, I was too young. I didn't realize the NES was that old. I always thought 1985 or 86.
Thanks for posting.
edit: I was right. NES was released in 1985 in N.A.. I think that caption meant to say "Plimpton disses Atari".

Apple is the company in the 1984 commercial. They truly are big brother - no ports to export your data (I mean standard), very little customization, unopenable cases, etc.
It is Lenovo and Dell and HP and Samsung and htc that are trying to rescue us from the horrid big brother.
Steve Ballmer's sports coat makes the $99 Windows ad. You can't deny his enthusiasm.
And I think Verizon is on something with Suzie's lemonade (new commercial) - surprised they don't have more VZW products in the spots though.

I may not like the PS3, but that "Michael" commercial is awesome. Although, I think it'd be even better if it was Matthew, but that's just me!

At the time of this was a Superbowl Commercial. This company can suck my dick (as can Ross Perot). Hey you have all seen those movies/TV shows that sacrifice their employees for a better profit margin. That is these guys. Fuck You EDS, I will Never make money for you again.

I remember a hilarious parody commercial of Maxell's Blown Away Guy where the speakers were so strong that they blew the guy's head right off!

"Plimpton Disses NES
1981
George Plimpton was a celebrated sports writer who staked his ultimate claim to fame by competing, if momentarily, at the top level of several professional sports. Mattel figured he was talented enough to pitch Intellivision baseball too, and that's just what he did in this NES slam."
Ummm... The Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) didn't even exist yet at the time of that commercial...
Nintendo isn't mentioned anywhere in the commercial...
He was digging at Atari, not Nintendo...

This article would have been so much better with video instead of still pictures.
