Here are a few extensions that are efficient, useful and have always performed as promised:

PUSHBULLET - send links, notes and more from Chrome to other devices/browsers/etc.

STYLISH - if you want to make your own css adjustments to any website you visit.

OPEN ALL SELECTED LINKS - Select a group of links - use this from the context menu to open each one in a separate tab.

MEASURE IT - a quick and accurate way to measure the height/width of any element on a given webpage.

This is a good list of ones I haven't necessarily heard of before. One I found recently that I really like is Musicality: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/musicality/fjiolbglibkahkipcdgeepdfdgfkdbee

I'm not sure how long it's been around, but it seems to be pretty unknown. It let's you control playback using keyboard shortcuts or the popup for tons of online music providers, like Pandora and Google Music. Also scrobbles, and some other features I don't care about.

Another one I like a lot is ForecastFox. It shows you the current temperature and conditions from the icon. Super useful.

There is a new Chrome app called 3DView for viewing and sharing 3D models.
3DView has some simple geometry manipulation, measurement and file sharing capabilities that can inspire and help students to learn geometry and design. It's also integrated with Chrome and instantly opens all 3D models from websites like thingiverse.com.

Here is a Chrome Webstore Link: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/3dview/hhngciknjebkeffhafnaodkfidcdlcao

Enjoy!

And you know, now you can discover mobile apps both for iOS and Android right through Google Chrome. Got Apps? extension being the pioneer in this area should be highlighted in the next review for Chrome extensions. Discover mobile apps based on the user's favorite web content viewed in the Chrome browser http://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/got-apps-search-apps-and/ikkdgpaaiodplcmibkoamipchngijfke

Space Waster Terminator is the best.

It scans your hard drive and shows you which folders and files are taking up space.

Just so you guys know. If you use panic button at work, your friendly corporate network / systems admin (like me) knows all your secrets. You'd be amazed at how much porn people try to look at in their cubicle. It's hard to keep a straight face when you see them in person (I guess that's the benefit to being locked away in a poorly lit server room).

The lesson from this? When you're at work, you should be working. If you wouldn't want everyone in the office to see what's on your screen, then it isn't appropriate for the workplace. We have folders full of every employee's browsing history, and there are times when it can come up for punishment. If you don't want your boss knowing you go to chixwithdix.com then don't do it at work. No matter the security extensions you have in your browser, and no matter if you use incognito mode and delete your history, it still gets routed through the company's servers where it is logged and audited. You can't hide that information.

I have hardly used Chrome because of a fantastic Firefox app. It's called Smartsearch and it lets me right click a word to search for it on whichever sites I have set up. I can search Amazon, Google Images, Rotten Tomatoes, Onelook, Wikipedia, a Linux distro site, etc.

Is there a similar app in Chrome?

How about Stuff a Sock In It Pro- a much needed and long overdue extension that will filter out all comments that have condescending terms from commenters like "you're kidding right" or "not even close to a good list".

That would move to the top of my list.

Lol... not even close a good list.

Heres some of the ones I use:

LastPass (I have some version of this in all my browsers)
PanicButton
Wolfram Alpha (for any problem!)
SabConnect++(Send NZBs quickly to Sab)
Outlook Notifier (for my outlook account)
Checker Plus for Gmail
SoundControl for Pandora
Turn off the Lights (Dim the rest of the screen around whatever video you are watching)
Empty New Tab (Because not everyone wants their computer to have to load something when they open a new tab)
Download Button (puts an icon for the downloads folder on the bar. Easier than remembering Control+J)

Thank you for suggesting Empty New Tab. I never knew such an extension existed. The new tab page has been driving me nuts since day 1. Turn Off The Lights is also very useful.

What's worse I tried the Pac-Man.
