Photo (Video) Awesome #26: Our Studio is up and Running!
We finally got to spend some time in our brand new video studio, where I was given my first opportunity to ever to use a green screen during a shoot, and my 1,156th (don't quote me there) opportunity to make an ass out of myself on camera.
All joking aside, dropping an image seamlessly over a green screen was actually a bit harder than we had anticipated, as you'll see in some slight hiccups in the video. But it was a learning experience, and we're excited to find new and fun ways to utilize the studio moving forward. But, for now, here's us acting like idiots in front of a green screen. Enjoy!
Have yourselves a fantastic weekend everyone, we'll see ya' next week.

No, I think the biggest problem they are having is the fact that they can't act ;) No offense taken I am sure :)

Just to add,
I think the biggest problems you guys are having currently with the screen are interlacing issues and the actor's shadows on the screen could cause problems.
Actors should be at least 6' from the screen, lights for the screen should be at 45 degree angles to each side, about 4' away, with soft-boxes preferably. The larger the softbox the better here.
As for the interlacing, check all your settings in-camera and in processing... Something's definitely not jiving here on the interlacing issue.
If it's all going to be web-content, there shouldn't be any interlacing at all. TV's usually deinterlace by default, and some softwares can deinterlace as an option, but in the web browser most people are going to see the ill effects of interlacing vividly without better post-processing.

Hit the nail on the head! Lighting and subject distance from screen are the biggest things. You get those right and pulling your key will be easier and better.
Also have to second the interlacing comment. Avoid it for web content.
:D

Biggest challenge with a Green Screen is lighting...
Lighting really needs to be spread even across the entire green screen for the effect to work properly.
Of course, actors / models in front of the green screen should also avoid wearing Green, but that's a given. :P
Keeping the screen flat and even can also be a PITA.

needs a bit of polish so that it's crisper instead of all jagged like its was in the 90s.
