Outlook is driving me crazy. Instead of the pointer, my cursor is the little grabby-hand thing. I can’t get it to select text or do anything other than scroll the page. Help me before I kill again.

Bill, that grabby-hand thing is the Panning Hand, and it’s functionally identical to the hand you’re familiar with from PDF readers like Adobe Reader. If you’re stuck with the hand, you should have a hand icon just above the right scroll bar in your message pane; click that to get back to the pointer. Or hit ESC to get it back.
You probably either have a tablet PC or Tablet PC software installed on your computer (it comes standard with some versions of Windows, for some reason). If you don’t have a tablet, consider uninstalling the Tablet PC Windows component entirely (Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components).
