And Now For The News

Hello out there, and welcome to the news blog!

Some of you may recognize me from the forum under the nick One4yu2c where I've been posting for the past 7 years dating back to MaxPC's Delphi/Commport era. Others may recognize my real name, Paul Lilly, as a frequent contributor to the magazine itself (yes folks, I've walked through the Maximum PC offices and played in the Lab, and it's every bit as cool as you can imagine). And for those with a diversified portfolio of review site bookmarks, you may have spotted my work over on HardwareLogic, where I serve as the Hardware Editor and help site owner and friend Rich Caporali run the operation. In short, I’ve had my finger on the pulse of this industry for roughly two decades, and am every bit as passionate today as I was back in the Commodore 64 days (here’s a virtual high-five for anyone that’s ever typed Load”*”,8,1 before).

Outside of my contributing status, I’m also a fan of the magazine. One thing I've always loved about Maximum PC is the Minimum BS tagline. More than just a catchy motto, that slogan has been the backbone that makes this magazine such a reliable resource for anyone who wants to get down to the nitty gritty about all things geek. From unapologetic reviews to useful how-tos, I know of no other publication that does a better job at capturing what this hobby is all about. And with Maximum PC's recent overhaul to the site, this same experience can now occur outside the confines of your restroom (or wherever it is you regularly flip through the mag)!

Anyway, I'm here to sound off on the latest happenings in an ever changing technological landscape, covering general news items of all shapes and sizes. I'm excited to be a part of this new online presence, and looking forward to offering the same BS-free coverage you've come to expect.

I have to chuckle at how long its been been since I typed Load”*”,8,1. I too would like to take a minute to boast about this magazine by saying the four years I have been a subscriber has been the most inexpensive and worth while education I have ever paid for.

For those of you that don't know the Commodore 64??? http://oldcomputers.net/c64.html (the web address will answer some of your questions).

Mr. Lilly, I look forward to reading your news articles, and tapping into that knowledge of yours. SP
