7 Ways Windows Phone 7 Is Better Than the iPhone (And 5 Ways It Isn’t)

Of a great list of big misses, the most onerous and flabbergasting ones:

  1. No direct sync with Outlook.
  2. Non-functional office mobile suite.
  3. No copy & paste.
  4. No USB file transfer.
  5. No hardware encryption even with MS Exchange servers.
  6. Mixing Facebook contacts with all my other contacts

I suppose this phone is OK for airheaded social network sycophants, but it FAILS big otherwise. Returned mine after 3 days of constantly saying: "Are you kidding me?!"

Ok if you ever read that microsoft has been debuging this phone more then any other product it has ever launched. I have a prototype phone from microsoft and i have not experienced any bugs with this OS at all.

PS you forgot to mention

No teathering and No multitasking.

The copy and past along with alot of other updates will be comming out early next year. And there is A LOT of updates.

The Windows Phone 7 are so attractive and popular! This powerful smartphone that is ideal companions for people who want complete control of their digital lives while on the go. I am also hesitating which one i should buy. On your analysis, i think i probably buy the win7 as i like watching movie, i think the larger screen is more popular. but no matter which one i will buy, it is necessary to download a Aneesoft video converter.

I am madly in love with you. It must be your stunning Windows Phone 7 which I cannot decide whether is more attractive or popular. I will also download many copies of Aneesoft video converter from bit torrent, that way I won't have to pay for Aneesoft video converter. I would pay for software but the utility of Aneesoft video converter is certainly not one of them. Better to steal Aneesoft video converter from one of the many attractive and popular bit tracker websites!

I am going to go out of my way to steal that software as punishment for this spam.

Oh yeah....and WP7 sucks. I am an Android guy, but I would still rather have the iPhone than WP7. At least Apple has a killer app store and a much better interface...if I have to choose a company that wants to be my nanny.

You were a little generous to WP7 with your "It can't..." section.  One might break that section into 5 additional things -- especially since those drawbacks are pretty huge as far as usability goes.  I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that I have to see how it works before I commit to saying WP7 is kind of a dud.

If Microsoft is smart, they'll do what they unofficially did with the first Xbox.  The first xbox basically had a part on the motherboard that said "insert modchip here".  Then Microsoft looked what people did with modded xboxes and implemented many of the cool features in the 360 with a dash of DRM.  If WP7 is as half-assed as the xbox 1 was, WP8 will be as awesome as the 360 is -- provided the modding community is able to make WP7 into a great product.

It will be hard to persuade the Apple users to jump shit, but I think you could get a ton of Android users to buy the phone. I decided on getting a droid instead of an apple simply because AT&T service is horrible in Chicago and I already own an Ipad. I honestly am at the point where I cannot take another day with my HTC Evo. I'd rather have no service then a phone that is so filled with problems. I have tried very had to like it and I simply can't. I am having my work cancel my service with Sprint and I'm going to get a HTC Focus.

Also, your going to get a ton of XBOX live subscribers to buy this phone as well. I think it has a ton of potential.

I retweeted the article for ya!

This article shows up as an empty template via IE8.  This seems to be happening more and more lately; not sure why.

Works fine in Opera btw...
