First 15-Seconds of Xoom Super Bowl Ad Leaked
You may have heard that Motorola has nabbed a Super Bowl ads pot for the upcoming Xoom tablet. The content of the ad was a mystery, but now Moto has sent Engadget a 15 second clip of the full ad. It's a little bit high concept, and a little bit a direct shot at Apple.
The commercial opens on a fellow using his Xoom tablet to read Orwell's 1984. This sets the mood as you realize he is surrounded by white-clad iPhone users on the subway. He shows off some Google maps action in search of a florist, still in the midst of the iPhone zombies. He gets the flowers, but you'll have to catch the game for the conclusion. We expect more thinly-veiled swipes at Apple. The commercial harkens back to the famous 1984 Apple Macintosh ad that referenced 1984. Do you think this will be effective?
