AT&T Plans to Tier Speeds and Data on 4G LTE
AT&T is reportedly planning to implement both speed and data tiers on their upcoming LTE 4G network, BGR has said. The data tiers are nothing new to the modern mobile user. AT&T will have different plans with various size monthly data allowances. Overages are not discussed, but we expect a similar arrangement to the current 3G plans. The new wrinkle is that AT&T will be tiering speeds too. This is what we've been seeing in wireline broadband for years.
AT&T will also be offering "Top Up Sessions" and "Speed Up Sessions" on LTE devices. Customers that have reached their bandwidth limit can pay for a top up, and get more data for the current billing cycle. As you might have guessed, Speed UP Sessions will increase the data rate to the maximum for a pre-determined period of time.
AT&T will be trialing these plans when the LTE network begins rolling out later this year. These changes could make mobile data feel more like a pre-paid service with all the timed sessions. What do you think of the plan?

For the people who only use their mobile broadband for simple task like email and the occasional google search, the low speed/data plan better be super cheap like $5. I think it's stupid to extort smart phone users $30 for each phone on their plan for features on their phone that they will probably not use. Also almost every phone they sell now is a smart phone so there is no way to avoid the data plan. It's basically a back door tax like some business sells you something for a really low price but charge you outrageous shipping and handling.

So their solution to losing Iphone exclusivity is to make ridiculous wireless plans. Yep that will work.

At this point, I am giving up on posting anything I feel is important to discuss in detail. At anytime I try to post an opinion, that might be long written in nature, it gets flagged by the spam filter. I am not a bot. I am tired of these automatic spam filtering systems. We need user ratings/popular consent on comments. The community is more than cable of regulating itself. "Give us the tools, and we will finish the job." - Churchill

I've never had that issue on here, since they removed the spam filter a long time ago.

Perhaps I'm the only one, for whom the spam filter disdains against! Anyway, they put in a new spam filter, I guess, a few weeks back. I have had issues posting off and on, and I've noticed a few other users say they, too, have had problems posting on here because of the spam filter. Usually, the best way to trigger the spam filter is to write out a lengthy comment, which is separated by paragraphs! In fact, I tried posting just a moment ago, and the spam filter once more denied me the privilege of commenting until I shortened/reworded my post.

Interesting, I haven't noticed any spam filter since the removed the old one. I usually have some pretty long winded posts and the old one would flag me nearly every time. I thought they were just using the captcha type system now. Whatever they are doing seems to be working though. It is nice to be able to actually read comments without sifting through adds for boots.
hahaha... While posting this a triggered the spam filter by mentioning the name of a boot maker.

Sprint is good for existing customers. The new policy change gives all smartphones (Not just 4G ones!) a $10.00/mo "Premium Data Fee" for new customers and upgrading customers.
Guess my family will never be upgrading phones.

Thank god Sprint is begging for subscribers to come back. I love unlimited text and 4g data with no throttling.
