what else would you expect from the whiny bitches of tech ? you have to remember that these are the same pathetic tools that have tried to sue everything from a sandwich shop to a school. back on topic, of course it is to hide the upcoming shortage of the new mini. if you also have been paying attention, you would have noticed that they havent tooted their horn with the "record breaking" sales figures of the new ipad air. if it were selling great, they would have already released sales numbers. they choose to wait till their short supply of new minis are sold out so they can shout "ipad minis with 'retina' have sold out everywnere"

This is one of the many reasons why I absolutely LOATHE Apple.

Likewise. There will be periods where I think maybe they're not so bad and then stuff like this happens to remind me why I don't support them.

It is absolutely unbelievable that this falls under the purview of the DCMA. If Apple wants the information to remain secret, they should stop publishing it. If we could hypothetically render this guy's website legal by injecting a middle-man who conveyed the data to him, then it shows that there can be no IP theft at play. What a freaking corrupt country we live in...

I could be wrong, but I thought other places did this for non-Apple phones as well and are not being sued by Samsung,HTC, etc? This almost makes it seem like Apple has something to hide.

I think that's the general assumption, that Apple is wanting to hide the shortage of upcoming 2nd gen iPad mini tablets. Either way, it's certainly sketchy to some extent.

That's what I am getting at: other places don't get sued for doing the same with non Apple devices. Seems silly on Apple's part.
