Between tablets, all-in-one (AIO) PCs, smartphones, and even desktop monitors, computer users are going to have to learn to keep their hands clean or risk gunking up all their gear with finger grease. The latest addition to the 'touch me!' crowd is AOC's aptly named Touch Monitor (e2239FwT), a 22-inch LCD display with LED backlight, Full HD 1920x1080 resolution, and multi-touch capabilities.

"The multi-touch feature of the new Touch Monitor is ideal for software applications that benefit from control via simple hand gestures, like gaming, education, entertainment, and photo management," said Robert Velez, AOC Marketing Manager. "The Touch Monitor also creates a 'big-screen' experience for netbook owners who want to watch movies and view photos in Full High Definition."

Specs include:

  • 10,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
  • 5ms response time
  • 16.7 million display colors
  • HDCP compatible
  • USB hub (1 up, 2 down)
  • Screen tilt angle: 3 degrees to 12 degrees

AOC's Touch Monitor sports a dual-stand design with metal die-casting feet, a piano black bezel, and a white high gloss backside. Touch Monitors can also be daisy chained with no additional hardware or new VGA card, AOC says.

The Touch Monitor is available now for $300 from the likes of TigerDirect, CompUSA,, and so forth.
