Can't wait for you to get your hands on the new ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 780 6GB and put it through it's paces. Looks like one hell of a graphics card!!!

i stopped even looking at amd cards and am not interested because of their unattractive price tag. you know....... AMD has already done the damage, do those f**kers not know their whole existance is based on their cheap processors compared to intel? their sitting back and enjoying the prices is killing them. just because they can make twice as much on one person than if they cut the price in half and would have to have two customers happy. man....... they are dumb. they'll lose support if people stop spreading popularity. you cant even advertise amd cards anymore because why waste such an expensive price on a card if you can spend $100 less on a card just as good.

ummmm...they are cheaper than Nvidia for similar performance.

im not sure what you are on about here...

Maybe a sign that we're getting close(er) to the next generation cards coming out?

Is an R9 290 at $380 good?

avatar

The Mac

MSRP is 399, so yes, its a good deal.

Considering they were going for $600+ a few months ago, its an even better deal

lol

Innomasta

I've been waiting a long time for this. Nice.

AMD could have told retailers that they could not sell for any more than MSRP price, with an threat that if they did go over, AMD would pull their cards from that retailer that did go over MSRP.

Price fixing would have achieved the same results, only the miners would have spent less of their $ to buy up all the cards.

Oh, there's a smart business move; artificial price structuring always works out well. Why not just sign your bank account over to your competition and save yourself the pain?

Stick to fixing computers or whatever you do for a living and leave running businesses to people who understand it.

Then everyone goes out and buys NVIDIA.

I ended up buying Nvidia when my tax return came in because of the price gouging. So either way you lose people. And Samsung does it with there TV's.

True, as mine is NVIDIA, LOL.
