Hey.That_Dude

I do like that they mostly focused on improving the thermals in this design. I'm all for that.

Sir Hobbes3

sweet, good thing i didn't buy that R9 270x yet.

The Mac

It should be significantly faster than a 270X.

Better wait for the 4gig versions though, 2gigs will not be enough for ultra.

Except the bus is 256-bit, so most of the 4GB will go wasted... 2GB gives you the majority of the performance you can expect.

The Mac

bus size has no bearing on the amount of textures you can hold, only the speed they are downloaded to the card.

Memory size does.

2gb will not be enough to avoid texture swapping and major slowdowns in upcoming games on ultra.

some like thief, already break almost 3.

Add a couple of HD mods to Skyrim, or DA2, and its well over 3gb.

Spoon fed capitalism. Brilliant !

AMD should've released a flagship model and beaten NVIDIA to the punch. Kind of tired of waiting for the real muscle of next-gen GPUs to come out.

This makes the old 7950s, currently selling for about $150 new, look like a pretty good deal.

The Mac

This will be faster than a 7950, which also doesnt have GCN 1.1, hardware fremepacing, TrueAudio or XDMA (bridgeless crossfire)
