Think of how many seasonals are going to be fired after the holidays.

The commercials with the red-haired technician using her "Dawwwww" catchphrase just remind me of a recent The Big Bang Theory episode where Dr. Cooper laments that he has not yet mastered the vocalization of fake empathy.

Only people who don't know about tech actually buy Kindles so they would probably need help from support

The Kindle is a great tablet. What are you talking about?

Kindle is a walled-garden Android device. That's a failure right there.

The Kindle series e-readers are fantastic and they are not walled garden. The Kindle Fire tablets are great for the money, can be easily rooted if you want to do so, and if you consider them walled-garden, then the fact that you can side load android apps onto them creates an awfully big hole in that wall. I have two Kindle Fire HD's myself. One for my son and one for me. And $99 bucks each that I paid for them, they are worth every penny. And a non rooted Kindle Fire HD is still FAR more capable than a non rooted iPad. And by the way, for what the majority of people do with a tablet anyway, the Kindle Fire HD series does what is needed without any modification. Hardly a failure.

It's a failure for most MaxPC readers. But just as was said above, it is great for those that have don't have much knowledge of technology.

I'd rather see the technically ignorant on an iPad than supporting an Android platform that seeks to turn Android into a knock-off of iOS.

Apple's ad campaign has always been that their products are so simple to use that no help is required. I find it interesting that Amazon's marketing is all about how it offers someone to help you work their product.
