FinalWire just put the finishing touches on version 2.00 of its AIDA64 application, a streamlined diagnostic and benchmarking tool that now supports LGA2011 Intel Sandy Bridge-E processors. Looking ahead to future platforms, the latest build also adds preliminary support for AMD Krishna and Wichita APUs, Intel Atom Cedarview processors, and Ivy Bridge and 7-Series chipsets.
According to the release notes , AIDA64 v2.00 provides enhanced support for Western Digital hard drives with detailed ATA auto-detect information, temperature measurements, and SMART disk health status detection. A few other goodies include automatic online updates, revamped ACPI table enumeration and decoding, support for VMware Workstation v8, and GPU details for AMD Radeon HD 6625M and Nvidia GeForce GTX 570M.
AIDA64 is the successor to the now defunct Everest software from Lavalys. FinalWire has taken the reigns and continues to release frequent updates. Pricing starts at $40 .
