What makes this announcement exciting is that it'll be possibly the first 120hz+ UHD monitor. That's exciting.

I have enough paperweights from ACER, I'll pass, don't trust the quality from the company.

I seen a youtube video of Dells 28" 4K monitor say we have a good two years before the Graphic cards HP is there.... Lots of tearing
in Battlefield 4 I'm sure it's good for lots of other games.
Two 780 Ti s seem to be the standard just to power one of these.
Which will set you back about $1,400 800 series with 6 gigs of memory should fair a lot better.

Time to beat the dead horse: it's a TN panel, I'll pass.

UHHHH heard of Gsync???? gsync could actually make the TN panel possibly work in this case. someone f**king correct me!

If it were VA, I'd consider it. But TN? Sorry.

I like TN better then IPS because IPS is too black for a lot of games out there. SO you need to crank up the brightness to adjust for the deeper blacks. Some IPS panels are not like that though but some are.

NO KIDDING!!!!! I HAVE AN IPS AND I HATE IT!!!!! NOT TO MENTION WHEN YOU CRANK UP THE DARKS, THE WHITE LOOKS DISGUSTING. TN has proven its class, TN has the fastest response-time.... do you people own a f**king 120hz TN monitor? no... u have no idea. and above 60fps and high-resolution, Gsync technology is as important as SSDs are to gamers. Gsync is the future! refresh rates will no longer be an issue. you can turn off gsync in your videogame and will get the fps increase and reponse time increase from it.

Hey.That_Dude

It must be terrible for you to watch modern movies! I mean... with your superior eyes that can distinguish frames in excess of 60 fps, 24 fps must seem like a buffering YouTube video to you! As a mere human with plain eyes and who has put to comparison a calibrated IPS and calibrated TN "True 144 Hz": IPS. Any day. Every day. If you're getting issues with picture, it's a problem with your rig 99/100 times (most of the time cause by cheapskate syndrome).

On a different note, GSync isn't the future. The idea behind it will certainly take on. However, proprietary hardly ever carves out more than a niche. There are exceptions but they are few and far between.

Freesync is on the way, Gsync's days are numbered
