Why not type a few keystrokes on the video? How does it sound? How does it feel?

Id the keys had individual lighting I might consider it.

Beautiful looking keyboard, but damn is it expensive. I paid less for my KBtalKing Pro VE, including shipping. Albeit, not much less, but at least the KBtalKing is a wireless multi-pairing Bluetooth mechanical keyboard.

Not many wireless mechanical keyboards out there. I could only find two when I shopped around (the KBtalKing Pro and the XArmor U9W). I can't help but think Feenix missed an opportunity here, especially if they were planning to charge so much.

Still using an AST KB-101 circa 1986 retrieved from the obsolescent pile at work and it works just fine, thank you.
I think it may even qualify as a museum piece!

Speaking of museum pieces. I'm still rocking my IBM M13 keyboard at my office.

Who is connecting a $163 keyboard via PS/2, seriously?

avatar

USraging

I Like to connect my keyboard via 9pin din.

avatar

Renegade Knight

I would. Much better connection for keyboards. Especially for gaming.

My Sabertooth Z77 doesn't even have an PS/2 connection, only USB connections.

Renegade Knight

That does have me scratching my head. Ideally the keyboard is up to snuff and their PS/2 adapter takes advantage of it. I'd trust it more if the keyboard was PS/2 and the adapter was to go to USB.

Gold? Is that really necessary?

avatar

Renegade Knight

Gold being a soft metal is an easy way to help ensure a good connection. Needed? No. Helpful? Yes.

The layer is so thin no doubt they use something like 3 cents worth of gold in the process.

Gold PLATED yes, and the price you mentioned isn't far from the mark

Ask any electrical engineer - there would be no noticeable benefit to the gold plating

For the cable probably as it's corrosion resistant. Maybe it's the same reasoning for the plated MX switches.

I'm guessing the pricing is more for the support side of things and not for the gold plating. My CM Storm Trigger has a gold plated modular USB cable and the price was pretty cheap compared to competitors.

Double the trouble of double posting...

AFDozerman

Ha. I considered replying back to myself with "two posts?? Is that necessary?"

Altering double posts to say "double post" is such a pain though, especially when it posts three times like it has before.
